Polypropylene (PPh & PPc)
Homopolymer, random and block copolymer polypropylene — Polypropylene grades across a broad MFI range for film, injection and textile applications.
Technical view
What is Polypropylene (PPh & PPc) and what is it for?
Polypropylene offers higher service temperature, higher stiffness and better chemical resistance than polyethylene. Homopolymer gives the highest stiffness and heat resistance, random copolymer (PPrc) gives clarity and a lower sealing temperature, and block copolymer (PPc) provides low-temperature impact strength.
On the packaging side the main uses are BOPP and CPP film, thermoformed containers and closures; on the technical side automotive interiors, appliance parts and woven sacks. Where impact strength falls short, modification with POE is the standard route that takes PP into engineering applications.
- Homo, random and block copolymer
- Broad MFI range
- High service temperature
- Suitable for POE impact modification
